VNS Nursing Agency, together with Villa Maria Catholic Homes (VMCH) are working together to offer new opportunities to Personal Care Workers (PCAs) and Domestic Assistants (DA) across Victoria to provide quality care to the elderly in the comfort of their own homes.

As part of our partnership with VMCH, VNS are looking for candidates to provide care to people in their homes across Victoria. Personal Care Workers must have completed a Certificate II or above Certificate within the Community and/or the Aged Care Sector. Domestic Assistants don’t require any certificates or experience, First Aid/CPRA is not essential to commence, but you will need to complete and provide evidence by 12-week post commencement, so if you’re looking to get back to the workforce this may be the perfect opportunity for you.


As a PCA or DA you will be providing home care services to support the clients needs at home. Some of the duties may include personal care, cleaning and laundry, meal preparation/planning, gardening, home nursing, allied health and transporting clients. The duties may differ depending on your role, however both jobs are focused on providing quality care to support older people to live a comfortable and happy life in their own homes.

What will you need to start working?

Personal Care Worker (PCA):

  • Cert II or above certificate within Community Sector/ Aged Care
  • Stat Declaration
  • Working rights
  • 3x Covid vaccinations
  • Flu vaccination current for 2022
  • First aid/CPR current
  • Car with comprehensive car insurance, car rego
  • 2 reference checks
  • VMCH Health declaration form, Code of conduct and Contract

 Domestic Assistant (DA):

  • No qualifications required
  • First Aid/CPR not essential to commence but need to

     complete and provide evidence by 12-week post commencement.

  • Working Rights 
  • 3 x Covid Vaccinations
  • Flu Vaccination current for 2022
  • VMCH Health declaration form, Code of conduct and Contract
